MY COFFEE STORY: THE MODESTY

I am not a coffee junkie - but I love it, hell yeah!

One thing I love about coffee is the energising effect it gives me (or, at least it's what I feel despite the fact that there might be no such thing about coffee at all) - simply a shot of it within a mug/cup/glass! In early morning or at brunch is the ideal time to sip the hot of it - a kick start for the day. Comparing to British tradition of drinking tea, sipping coffee is worthy of note for me.
For now, I maintain my body to accept only one shot everyday - no more. I feel like I cannot tolerate drinking more than single shot a day as I truly realize it attentively that I react precisely to the "energetic effect" of coffee - I can stay awake the whole day! I try to understand the way my body works, so drinking coffee to me is somehow an art of not ruining the work of nature - of naturally me.

For my personal taste, I prefer the bitter one to the sweeter one. A shot of perfectly yummy coffee should not be too sweet, for I can only smell and taste the sugary aroma instead! The bitter the better. I also like fresh plain milk to add to my coffee mug better than sugar/chocolate/whipped-cream to improve its flavor. Many people refer to the originality of everything in their lives, but how I wonder the way they exactly mean it!
When it comes to fancy stuffs, some people will feel deliberately pompous to hold a branded paper glass of coffee bought at famous coffee shops at expensive price. Nothing is wrong with that. I think I will like it too. Some other people also enjoy the luxury of coffee by adding fruit flavors/chocolate/nuts/cream on top of it for its heavenly taste. It's cool. Yummy.

However, do they know about the issue in a cup of coffee? Rarely do.

Another fascinating thing about coffee - for me, which I recently figured out - is the controversy associated with coffee plantation. Having read a simple reading about it, I soon realized how intriguing it was. How within a shot of hot coffee there is not only merely the yummy bitter taste of the coffee bean itself, or the trace of sweetness, but also the whole controversy dealing with the environment, the labors, even the spiritual usage! Interesting.

Being a lone wolf, I would rather take everything into my personal perimeter than let other things other people fancy about interfere me. I may not let myself go with people who make coffee drinking a common trend - whatever it means. Without absurd mingling which potentially leads to gossiping and being afraid of paying too much for non-sense, personally, I am able to enjoy coffee my way: cupping the coffee mug with both hands, sipping the bitterness of the dark liquor, enjoying the cozy breeze - simple yet classic.

"Coffee, anyone?"
